Job Description:
Are you passionate about the cannabis industry and skilled at growing retail partnerships? Join the Independent Retail Cannabis Collective (IRC Collective) as a National Retail Account Manager. In this dynamic role, your main goal will be to increase retail engagement while also helping to expand our retailer network, support members with insights and sales strategies, and drive success across Canada’s cannabis market.

Responsibilities:

Retail Engagement:

  • Leverage sell-through data, market trends, and product performance insights to help retailers curate winning assortments and increase velocity.

  • Identify gaps in engagement or performance and implement targeted strategies to re-engage accounts and unlock growth opportunities.

  • Track retailer participation in IRC Collective programs, promotional offers, and resulting sales performance to measure impact and drive accountability.

  • Represent IRC Collective at industry events, trade shows, and retailer training sessions to build brand awareness and deepen relationships with retail teams.

Retail Network Growth:

  • Recruit and onboard new retailers into the IRC Collective program through outreach, referrals, and industry networking.

  • Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with retail members as their primary point of contact.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records to support seamless communication, reporting, and program alignment. 

Sales & Performance:

  • Drive product sales and secure retailer commitments by aligning offers with each store’s unique customer base and goals.

  • Conduct quarterly performance reviews using data and insights to identify growth opportunities and refine sales strategies.

Support & Education:

  • Provide ongoing education on industry trends, product knowledge, and merchandising best practices to empower retailers.

  • Gather retailer feedback regularly and share actionable insights with the IRC Collective team to improve collective offerings.

  • Address retailer questions and challenges with professionalism, ensuring quick and effective resolutions.

Operational Excellence:

  • Support data reconciliation, promotional activity, and finance to ensure data accuracy and transparency.

  • Demonstrate initiative and accountability while working both independently and as part of a collaborative, fast-paced team.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, retail relations, or account management.

  • Strong knowledge of the Canadian cannabis industry and its regulations.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Proficiency using CRM software, excel, and organizational tools.

  • Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving market.

  • Proven problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.

  • Willingness to travel nationally as needed.
